The English sure are good at producing dance music duos. Coming off of their last single ‘Ready For Your Love’, Gorgon City has come out with another hit releasing good vibes.
'Here For You' is a summer track Matt and Kye have come up with. Gorgon City turned up the bass and created this euphoric melody. The song goes great with a casual drink at a summer party.
The group collaborated with Laura Welsh on this single. With her vocals laying so delicately over the beat and lyrics that everyone can connect to, together, they have produced an impressive track ready for the dance floor, or perhaps a nice cruise with the top down if you need some good vibes and some sunshine.
The Bingo Players will release a remix of Here For You on June 15.
An acoustic version of Here For You will be released on June 16.
Shocker? Eh, not really. When I heard Ten Feet Tall playing in Bud Light’s commercial I was immediately thinking it was Afrojack that was playing. After I looked it up on Google, I was right.
In a recent interview with Billboard Afrojack states: "I’m not EDM," he says. "If I wanted to be a successful EDM artist, I wouldn’t put 80 percent of everything back into the show. I would be chilling, demanding 20 hotel rooms, playing for one-and-a-half hours and being miserable as f-. But I don’t want to be an EDM artist - I want to make something that people can be proud of."
Welcome to pop Afrojack. But should any of his listeners be surprised? I think not. In the past Van De Wall has worked with major recording artists like Chris Brown and Pitbull. Both of those tracks, As Your Friend with Chris Brown and Give Me Everything with Pitbull, have become summer anthems in America. What most avid-pop listeners didn’t know is that Afrojack was the man behind the success of those tracks.
I think as Afrojack focuses more on a pop sound and markets himself in the States, he will also change pop music and bring it to a higher level. Other EDM artists that are huge in the pop scene like Calvin Harris have also seen success in it. To mainstream America, they have never been fully accredited as EDM artists, just as producers. These EDM artists are changing music with their collaborations. Their sound brings more energy to music.
Do I like this new Afrojack? Of course I do! Although it’s not the usual dirty dutch sound that I am used to, Afrojack has definitely mastered the lyrical side of his music.
I’ve been listening to his new album Forget the World, and so far his album has set out its own message to the world: always remember to keep following your heart, keep following your path, and never try to let the things around you get you down.
It was released last month that Afrojack and Snoop Dogg would be collaborating on Afrojack’s new album Forget the World.
In earlier interviews Afrojack stated that he would gravitate more towards the mainstream for his success. This collaboration proves to his listeners that he isn’t here just for that pop sound we were expecting, or that dutch sound most of us are used to.
This track resembles most of what you would expect out of a trap song. This is definitely a song for the pre-game warm up whether you’re an athlete or just another college student looking for a good time.
After releasing their lead single All the Way back in January, Timeflies announced that they will be releasing a full-length studio album. The anticipated LP has already found a home on the top ten most purchased albums on iTunes.
The album, built off of previously released singles, has been featured in several teasers and videos released over Timeflies Tuesday’s.
The American duo has their own organic style that embodies the electronic-pop sound and even crosses genres with famous rappers Fabolous and T-Pain. As usual, Rez supplied the production of After Hours and left the vocals up to Cal.
